The DeWalt DCG413FB 20V MAX XR® Flathead Paddle Switch Small Angle Grinder* is a specialized version of the standard DCG413 grinder. The key difference is the “Flathead” gear case design, which is significantly lower in profile than a standard grinder head. This allows the tool to fit into acute angles (as tight as 43 degrees) and other confined spaces where a regular grinder’s head would hit the workpiece before the wheel does.

Key Features

• Flathead Gear Case: The defining feature of this model. The gear case is flattened and elongated, allowing for a much deeper reach into tight corners and narrow gaps compared to standard round-head grinders.

• Kickback Brake™: A safety feature that stops the wheel in 2 seconds or less when the trigger is released. It also engages if a pinch or stall is detected, shutting the tool down to prevent kickback.

• E-Switch Protection™: If the battery runs out or is removed while the trigger is still pressed, the tool will not restart when a fresh battery is inserted. You must cycle the trigger (release and press again) to restart.

• Paddle Switch: Features a “dead-man” paddle switch that automatically shuts off the tool if you drop it or lose your grip, which is a requirement on many industrial jobsites.
